Within the framework of the Northeast Asia Mayors’ Forum organized by the Capital City Governor’s Office, a thematic meeting on “Urban Green Growth” was held on September 21-22, 2015.

The meeting was attended by more than 160 representatives of municipalities, deputies and relevant experts from nine cities and international organizations in the region.

The forum addressed important issues facing Northeast Asian cities, including rapid urbanization in Asia that had accelerated industrial development, air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable energy resource management, how to create a green and sustainable lifestyle, and the importance of providing green education to children and youth from an early age.
