The Municipality of Ulaanbaatar initiated and organized the First Northeast Asian Mayors’ Forum in 2014. Since then, it has been held every two years to further develop regional cooperation, solve common issues and exchange ideas on best practices among the participant cities.
We successfully organized the Forum five times in the past under the themes of “Sustainable and Inclusive Cities”, “Urban Green Growth”, “Supporting Cities to Promote Green Energy”, “Low Carbon City Development: Improving Air Quality and Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions”, “Strengthening Regional Cooperation and Tackling Common Challenges through Exchange of Cities’ Best Practices during Covid-19 Pandemic” , and “Metropolitan Strategies for Decentralization and Reduction of Traffic Congestion: Solutions and Funding Options”.
Participation in the NEAMF is by invitation only. If you wish to participate in the biennial meeting of the NEAMF, please contact the secretariat at secretariat@neamf.org
The 6th NEAMF is held at the State Palace of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
