The Northeast Asian Mayors’ Forum (NEAMF) convened in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia, on December 8, 2020 to discuss the issue of “Strengthening Regional Cooperation and Tackling Common Challenges through Exchange of Cities’ Best Practices during Covid-19 Pandemic” with the initiative of the Ulaanbaatar City Government with the support of the Asia Foundation. The fourth forum was conducted virtually, with 40 delegates from Northeast Asian countries and 30 delegates from embassies to Ulaanbaatar and international organizations in attendance. The participants exchanged views and experiences of cities in the Northeast Asia region on the common challenges through Covid-19 pandemic such as policy actions and emergency responses to the Covid-19 pandemic, the operation of Moscow transport during and after the pandemic, prevention and control measures of Covid-19 in Beijing, Seoul’s fight against Covid-19, and global and western Pacific regional situation update on Covid-19.
