The third Northeast Asian Mayors’ Forum convened in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia, on 17-19 June 2018 under “Low Carbon City Development: Improving Air Quality and Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions” theme to exchange views and experiences of cities in the Northeast Asia region on this subject and to strengthen regional cooperation. This year’s forum saw a total number of 210 delegates including the city mayors and officials from 17 cities from 6 different countries, the policy makers from Mongolian government offices, and local administrations as well as the embassies and international organizations in Ulaanbaatar city. Participants discussed about the climate change issues and greenhouse gas emission and shared their city practices on the solution. The forum had three main plenary sessions with the city delegates and international organization representatives’ presentations.
