THE SIXTH NORTHEAST ASIAN MAYORS’ FORUM

Brief Concept

Northeast Asian countries are experiencing rapid urbanization and economic growth. However, this progress brings significant environmental and social challenges. Sustainable development is crucial to address these challenges and ensure long-term prosperity and quality of life in urban areas. Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) offer a promising mechanism to achieve sustainable development goals by combining the strengths of both sectors. This concept explores how PPPs can be promoted and leveraged to foster sustainable development in Northeast Asian cities.

Objective of the 2024 Forum

The Forum aims to serve as a platform for interactive exchange, facilitating the sharing of experiences and knowledge regarding successful implementations and strategic use of PPPs, sharing integrated urban solutions among participating cities.
